By The Numbers: Tyrell Fortune vs. Jack May
Now that the hype surrounding has cooled somewhat, Tyrell Fortune can get down to the business of maximizing his undeniable physical and mental tools.
The Arizona Combat Sports standout will rematch Jack May in a three-round heavyweight showcase at Bellator 255 this Friday at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Their first encounter ended in a no contest some seven months ago when Fortune connected with an accidental groin strike from which his 6-foot-8 counterpart could not recover. A short-notice replacement for the injured Matt Mitrione, May has not competed since he dropped a split decision to Kyle Noblitt at an Xtreme MMA event on Jan. 21. Fortune, meanwhile, last fought at Bellator 251, where he was awarded a unanimous verdict over Said Sowma in November.
