Lupita Godinez Doesn’t Regret Anything: ‘I Will Fight in Any Weight Class’
Lupita Godinez won’t back down from any challenge, even if it requires her to leave her 115-pound comfort zone. Godinez (7-2, 2-2 UFC) scored her first Ultimate Fighting Championship
victory after submitting Silvana Gomez Juarez via armbar in the opening round of their UFC Fight Night 194 encounter, pocketing ‘Performance of the Night’ honors along the way. A few hours later, the former Legacy Fighting Alliance titleholder agreed to move up a division and replace Sijara Eubanks against Luana Carolina at the very next event, UFC Fight Night 195. By fighting two times in seven days, Godinez set the promotional record for the quickest turnaround. While she lost a decision to Carolina, Godinez thinks she learned a lot from that clash.
