CAGE 31: Multiple-time BJJ World Champion Rafael Domingos fights Carlos Prada
Jun 26, 2015 Comments
(PRESS RELEASE) -- Multiple-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion
Rafael
Domingos (5-0-0) will face Sweden's Carlos
Prada (5-4-0) at CAGE 31 on the 19th of September in Helsinki.
For undefeated Domingos, native of Brazil's Sao Paolo, it is his
second fight after being signed by CAGE. Domingos and Prada have
been paired up to fight two times already, but on both occasions
the bout has eventually been canceled. Domingos has a clear vision
on the upcomingn featherweight matchup: - I was eager to get this
fight already at CAGE 30, but it got canceled due to Carlos'
injury. I'm positive our fight will be a great show for the
CAGE-fans. I know Carlos trains at the same academy with Makwan
Amirkhani, so after our fight he can tell me which one of us is
tougher! Carlos
Prada represents Stockholm's famous Allstars Training Center.
His record contains 5 victories and 4 defeats. All but one of the
victories Prada has earned by chokes and KO's - His style of always
hunting for a finish is extremely crowd-pleasing. - I know that my
opponent is a good wrestler and trains in tough company. I respect
my own work and only by fighting tough guys I can make others
respect it too, says Domingos. As a multiple time BJJ-world
champion Domingos represents the worlds elite in grappling. Even
though Prada is a strong and dangerous all-around mixed-martial
artist, it might be wise for him to avoid going in to the ground
which is "Rafi's" comfort-zone. Domingos has finished 4 out of five
opponents by submission in the first round. In CAGE 31's main event
the Finnish MMA pioneer Anton
Kuivanen will finally get the rematch he has eagerly been
waiting for as Eric
Reynolds defends his lightweight belt. Last time around when
Reynolds faced Kuivanen some 2 years ago, he won the belt by
knocking out Kuivanen in the first round only 30 seconds into the
round. CAGE 31 fightcard (25.6.2015) -70,3 kg Lightweight
