The former UFC welterweight champion will compete on “The Titan Games,” a physical competition series hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Season 2 will premiere on May 25 on NBC at 8 p.m. ET. The show will feature a number of athletes, including former NFL players Joe Thomas and Victor Cruz, Olympic gold medalist snowboarder Hannah Teter, multi-division world champion boxer Claressa Shields and American Ninja Warrior standout Jessie Graff.
According to “The Titan Games” website, the show allows competitors “the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete in epic head-to-head challenges designed to test the mind, body and heart.”
Woodley will also reportedly headline UFC Fight Night 173 on May 23, and according to ESPN, the Las Vegas-based promotion is currently targeting Gilbert Burns as his opponent, though nothing is official at this point in time. Woodley, who was slated to face Leon Edwards in the UFC London headliner no March 21 before the coronavirus pandemic hit, hasn’t competed since relinquishing the 170-pound belt to Kamaru Usman in a decision defeat at UFC 235.
