Thomas Petersen is the new Legacy Fighting Alliance heavyweight champion after defeating Vernon Lewis in the LFA 113 main event.
Petersen made short work of the veteran and proved he's a prospect to watch. A big left hand floored Lewis (8-5) and a swarm of punches ended the bout. Petersen improves to 5-0 with the victory and shared the news that he's becoming a father next rather than calling out any future opponents.

Welterweights Chris Brown and Glaucio Eliziario had the first competitive bout of the night. Brown (7-3) was able to land some solid kicks in Round 1, but it was Eliziaro (9-7) that landed the better punches. However, "Breezy the Future" took the Brazilian down in the second frame and was able to tire his opponent. Brown finished the round by slamming Eliziario, which was enough to end the fight after Eliziario injured his shoulder and was unable to continue.
In a flyweight bout, Alden Coria (5-0) used his grappling to control Donnie Ballou. Coria dominated the first round and latched in a guillotine choke late that got the tap. Ballou (7-5) officially tapped at the 3:35 mark.
Giovanna Canuto made quick work of fellow strawweight Kathy Solorzano. After getting a takedown, Canuto (2-0) chained together several submissions until a heel hook got the tap after 2:10 had elapsed. Solorzano is now 0-2 professionally.
The LFA 113 main card kicked off with Cezly Collard notching an impressive submission win over Patrick Ferguson. The brother of Clay Collard improved to 2-0 after sinking in a triangle choke after just 44 seconds. Ferguson falls to 1-2 with the defeat and has now lost two straight.
