The Hit List: Undefeated Fighters in the UFC
Brian Ortega has already proven he can run with the big dogs in the Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight division. Now comes his next step.
Part of an exclusive group as one of 27 undefeated fighters on the roster with at least one victory inside the Octagon, Ortega will put his 13-0 record on the line when he takes on Frankie Edgar in the UFC 222 “Cyborg vs. Kunitskaya” co-main event on March 3 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The winner likely moves on to face Max Holloway for the undisputed championship at 145 pounds later this year. Ortega, 26, entered another competitive stratosphere in his last outing, as he submitted Cub Swanson with a guillotine choke in their UFC Fight Night 123 headliner in December. “T-City” has rattled off five consecutive victories since he served a nine-month suspension over a positive test for anabolic steroids.
