The Professional Fighters League wrapped up the regular season with a bow, tying up loose ends in four of its six divisions to complete the playoff brackets. The Kayla Harrison show was on full display in a showcase matchup for the -1900 favorite, who did not disappoint. PFL 6: 2021 Regular Season featured the company's first 20-fight veteran, a Brazilian bomber blasting his way to a top seed and an armbar tally that may never be matched.

But First, Some Housekeeping: Four different weight categories locked up their tournament seeding after bouts throughout the night. In the women’s lightweight division, Larissa Pacheco will square off with 2-1 Taylor Guardado, while Harrison will meet 4-1 Genah Fabian. Meanwhile at heavyweight, Bruno Henrique Cappelozza takes on Jamelle Jones, and Denis Goltsov will come to blows with Ante Delija.

Harrisonian Rally: The final battle of the regular season saw a one-sided drubbing of Cindy Dandois by the still unbeaten Harrison. The Olympic gold medalist is now a perfect 10-0 as a pro, with eight finishes in her career.

Double Kayla: Harrison has over twice as many triumphs than any other female fighter to ever grace the World Series of Fighting-PFL cage. The next closest woman is Larissa Pacheco, who notched her fourth PFL win earlier that night.

Multi Kayla: Nine of Harrison’s 10 wins have come on the PFL roster, giving her the second-highest undefeated record of any fighter actively competing for the league. Magomed Magomedkerimov with 10 consecutive victories is the only one above her.

Mega Kayla: The finish coming by way of armbar, Harrison performed her third armbar inside the PFL cage. She is the only fighter in organizational history to land more than one armbar.

ULTRA KAYLA: Harrison’s finish was her seventh under the PFL banner. Among all men and women to ever fight for the league, she sports the third-most stoppage wins tied with Marlon Moraes. Ray Cooper III (eight) and Justin Gaethje (nine) stand above for now.

M-M-M-Monster Kayla: Lifting her submission total to four as a PFL fighter, Harrison finds herself tied with four other fighters for the third-most in organizational history. Lance Palmer and Vinny Magalhaes both sport five.

LUDACRIS KAYLA: Harrison closed as a significant -1900 favorite against Dandois, far and away higher than almost every other major fight in 2021. However, it was not even close to the greatest favored odds she has seen, as she came in at -5000 against Bobbi Jo Dalziel in the semifinals of the 2019 season.

Holy S*** Kayla: Of the eight bouts in company history with the widest betting odds discrepancies, Harrison is responsible for four of those matches. She was -4000 against Morgan Frier, -5000 before facing Dalziel, -2150 ahead of her bout with Mariana Moraes and now -1900 versus Dandois.

Pettis Punished: Anthony Pettis and Lance Palmer both fell short, to Raush Manfio and Movlid Khaybulaev, respectively. The two perceived frontrunners ended their seasons with two decision losses, earning zero points in their quest towards the million-dollar prize.

Komplete Khaybulaev: His win over Palmer advanced Khaybulaev’s perfect record to 17-0-1 with a no contest. Although the Dagestan native briefly suffered a loss to Daniel Pineda in 2019, “The Pit” tested failed his post-fight drug test and the bout was overturned.

Lance’s Last Stand: In defeat, Palmer became the first fighter to compete 20 times in WSOF-PFL history. The next closest fighter is Natan Schulte, who was eliminated from the playoffs due to Manfio’s victory.

Facepalmer: Palmer’s setback was his fifth as a WSOF or PFL fighter, tying him with Jared Rosholt and Steven Siler for the second-most in company history. Mike Kyle maintains the top spot with six defeats.

Dynamite Dennis: Denis Goltsov clobbered Brandon Sayles to earn the finish in the third round and pick up four points. Other than the aforementioned Harrison, Pacheco and Cappelozza, Goltsov is the only other fighter to finish both of his foes this season.

Let Bruno Bang, Bro: With a punch and a head kick, Cappelozza punched his ticket to the #1 seed position by putting Muhammed DeReese away in the opening frame. All 12 of the Brazilian’s career victories have come by knockout, including eight in the first round with two in this tournament.

DeRocked: The stoppage loss for DeReese was his fourth under the PFL banner, making him one shy of the recordholder Rosholt.

See You in the Finals, K-Harr: Pacheco smashed Helena Kolesnyk in the first round to pick up six points and the number one seed. She is one of three fighters this year to achieve the maximum 12-point tally, along with Harrison and Cappelozza.

Heavy Helena: Before her fight, Kolesnyk came in 1.6 pounds heavy, and therefore was ineligible to win points and ended her season at -1 points. She is one of four fighters this year to finish with negative points, along with Alexey Kunchenko, Ali Isaev and Hatef Moeil.

Ouch, Olena: Kolesnyk was the first female fighter to miss weight and still compete in a PFL tournament match. The last woman to come in heavy for a fight with the company was Katlyn Chookagian, who missed the 120-pound catchweight threshold in 2014 against Brigitte Narcise.

Ante Way Up: Having lost his first PFL bout this year, Ante Delija rebounded to knock newcomer Chandler Cole out in the opening stanza. The six-point finish was enough to place “Walking Trouble” in the playoffs.

Fabian > Fabia: Women’s lightweight was one of two weight classes this year – featherweight the other – where all four playoff participants will have won both fights this year. Genah Fabian rounded out the 155-pound division by knocking Julija Pajic out in the second round.

Jonesing for the Playoffs: Making the most of his single appearance in the 2021 season, Jones dispatched Klidson Abreu in the first round to earn six points and qualify for the playoffs.

Never Say Never Again: Coming into PFL 6: 2021 Regular Season, Palmer had never lost consecutive bouts (26 fights), Sayles (seven fights) and Kolesnyk (nine fights) had never suffered knockout losses and Renan Ferreira had never fought beyond the second round (nine fights).
