Donald Cerrone: By The Numbers
Donald Cerrone debuted impressively in the welterweight division, scoring a first round submission victory over Alex Oliveira. He followed it up with three impressive knockout wins, two of them earned him “Performance of the Night” bonuses. But just when he was making a case for title contention, he dropped three consecutive contests.

Cerrone needs to taste victory for a much-needed push to make the welterweight top 10, which he currently does not reside. The match is slated for Saturday at Singapore Indoor Stadium. Before they lock horns, here is a look on the crowd favorite by the numbers.
20: Wins in the UFC, a record he shares with Georges St.
Pierre and Michael
Bisping. In his 12-year professional career, Cerrone has fought
some of the best the sport has to offer.
2: Weight classes competed in. Cerrone started his professional career as a lightweight, and at UFC Fight Night 83, he fought at welterweight for the first time and submitted Oliveira via triangle choke.
5: Headliners in the UFC. Given his explosive standup game, Cerrone has appeared in the main event five times, sharing the spotlight with Jim Miller, Rafael dos Anjos, Darren Till, Oliveira, and Medeiros. He has a 3-2 record in main events.
1: Rubber match in his entire career. This was against Benson Henderson. Cerrone lost to the former UFC lightweight champion twice in World Extreme Cagefighting before staging successful revenge at UFC Fight Night 59.
2: Rematches in his entire career. He lost twice to Dos Anjos, another former UFC lightweight champion, and is 1-1 against Jamie Varner.
14: First round finishes to date. His most recent opening-round conquest was a TKO victory over Medeiros in the waning seconds of the opening frame.
5: Times he challenged for a title. In 2006, he won the Ring of Fire lightweight strap over Jesse Brock. At WEC 38, he bowed to Varner for the lightweight title before losing that same year to Henderson for the interim title. Varner eventually lost the belt to Henderson, who defeated Cerrone a second time in a championship match. Cerrone would lose another title bid, this time to Dos Anjos at UFC on Fox 17.
35: Years old and still immersed in the sport. Cerrone remains one of the most active fighters in the UFC. He has fought 12 times since January 2015.
2: Awards from Sherdog.com. Cerrone figured in an action-packed tussle with Rob McCullough in their WEC 36 encounter. Round 1 stood out and earned them the “2008 Round of the Year” award. His first loss to Henderson earned the nods of Sherdog.com staff members for “2009 Fight of the Year” honors.
