By The Numbers: UFC 292 Pre-Fight Edition

Aljamain Sterling will put his undisputed Ultimate Fighting Championship bantamweight title on the line opposite Sean O’Malley in the UFC 292 headliner on Saturday at the TD Garden in Boston. Meanwhile, Weili Zhang defends the women’s strawweight crown against former Jungle Fight champion Amanda Lemos in the five-round co-main event at 115 pounds.

As UFC 292 “Sterling vs. O’Malley” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the card bring to the table:

896: Days spent by Sterling as UFC bantamweight champion. It ranks as the second-longest reign in the history of the division, trailing only Dominick Cruz (1,117 days).

230: Significant strikes landed by O’Malley in a third-round technical knockout of Kris Moutinho at UFC 264. It established a personal high-water mark for the Dana White’s Contender Series graduate that stands to this day.

11: Zhang wins by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 48% of her career total (23). Her list of UFC victims: Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jessica Andrade.

Former Resurrection Fighting Alliance champion Gerald Meerschaert, who meets Andre Petroski in a middleweight prelim, has the most wins (35) and losses (16) of anyone on the card.
