Former Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki middleweight champions Mamed Khalidov and Scott Askham will complete their trilogy when their third encounter headlines KSW 83 on Saturday at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw, Poland. Their head-to-head series sits tied at 1-1.
Khalidov enters the cage having lost four of his past six fights. The well-traveled Chechen last appeared at KSW 77, where he struck five-time World’s Strongest Man winner Mariusz Pudzianowski into submission in the first round of their Dec. 17 pairing. Askham, meanwhile, has rattled off five victories across his last six outings. He has not competed since being felled by a flying switch kick from Khalidov a mere 36 seconds into their Oct. 10, 2020 rematch at KSW 55.
