By The Numbers: 2023 PFL Europe Finalists

The Professional Fighters League will close the book on an eventful 2023 campaign with PFL Europe Finals on Friday at 3Arena in Dublin, where SBG Irelandโ€™s Nathan Kelly locks horns with French newcomer Dimitry Solimeis in the featherweight headliner. More pressing, however, are the four tournament finals the event features in the bantamweight, lightweight, womenโ€™s flyweight and light heavyweight divisions.

As PFL Europe 4 approaches in Irelandโ€™s capital city, a look at some of the numbers the eight tournament finalists bring to the table:

32: Years of age for Frans Mlambo. The oldest of the eight finalists, he was born on May 22, 1991 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Mlambo faces Bellator MMA veteran Khurshed Kakhorov in the bantamweight final.

7: Kakhorov wins by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 64% of his career total. His list of victims: Lascha Abramishvili, Sylvain Sommereisen, Patryk Chrobak, Stipe Brcic, Said Eidi, Amir Safi and Ajmal Sultani.

172: Seconds needed for John Mitchell to put away Alan Brykalski with a rear-naked choke at a Cage Warriors Fighting Championship show on Sept. 24, 2020. More than three years later, it remains his fastest finish to date. Mitchell confronts Jakub Kaszuba in the lightweight final.

26: Rounds started by Kaszuba as a pro. The former Combat Night champion has gone the distance on four different occasions and carries a 4-0 record in those bouts.

6: Promotions for which Dakota Ditcheva has plied her MMA trade. She has gone 4-0 in the PFL, 1-0 in UAE Warriors, 1-0 in the Pallas Athena Womenโ€™s Fighting Championship, 1-0 in the UK Fighting Championships, 1-0 in Celtic Gladiator and 1-0 in Caged Steel. Ditcheva puts her perfect 9-0 record on the line against Valentina Scatizzi in the womenโ€™s flyweight final.

636: Days spent by Scatizzi as a professional mixed martial artist. She made her debut on March 12, 2022, when she knocked out Adelasia Chilleri a little less than four minutes into their encounter under the Slam Fighting Championship banner.

24: Years of age for Simeon Powell. The youngest of the eight finalists, he was born in London on Feb. 6, 1999. Powell meets Jakob Nedoh in the light heavyweight final.

2: Nedoh victories by submission, accounting for 29% of his career total. His methods of choice: one keylock and one rear-naked choke.

.888: Cumulative winning percentage between the eight tournament finalists slated to compete at the event. They boast a combined record of 71-9. Mlambo has the most wins (15) of anyone remaining in the field, and he has also been saddled with the most losses (five).
