Vinny Magalhaes to Fight Przemyslaw Mysiala at ACB 54
UFC veteran Vinny
Magalhaes will return to the cage on March 11 to take on
Przemyslaw
Mysiala in one of the featured bouts of ACB 54. The event takes
place in Manchester, England, inside Manchester Arena, with the
winner possibly fighting for an Absolute Championship Berkut title
later in the year.
Magalhaes, who has gone 4-1 since being released from the UFC in 2013, is one of MMA’s biggest submission threats. The ADCC gold medalist has subbed 11 opponents thus far as a pro and he looks to do the same to “The Polish Bear” when they square off. Mysiala, meanwhile, has won three straight and is 4-0-1 overall in his previous five bouts; all of those wins have come via stoppage.
ACB also revealed on Tuesday that Dean Garnett will lock horns with Michael Tobin in a 140-pound catchweight bout. The two bouts coincide with the already-announced scrap between Aslambek Saidov and Brett Cooper as well as the ACB 54 main event that pits Mamed Khalidov against Luke Barnett.
There is no official word yet on when and how U.S. MMA fans will be able to watch the event live.
