PBC on NBCSN Weigh-in Results: Bute, Di Luisa Both Make Weight
The Bell Centre in Montreal should be a rowdy place Saturday night
when former world champion Lucian Bute takes on Andrea Di Luisa.
The two will meet in a scheduled 10-round showdown, which will be
contested at a catchweight of 171 pounds. Luckily for all parties
involved, both main event fighters easily made weight, making the
fight official.
Di Luisa (17-2, 13 KOs) first climbed aboard the scale and weighed in at 169.6 pounds. The Italian-born fighter has won four straight bouts coming into the contest, which will easily be the biggest test of his career.
Bute (31-2, 24 KOs) will have a massive hometown advantage. The
Romania native won the IBF super middleweight title in 2007 and
defended it nine times before losing it to Carl Froch in 2012,
clocked in officially at 170.
