Combate Americas Finalizes Jan. 19 Mexico City Card

Combate Americas announced Friday afternoon that its event in Mexico City on Jan. 19 has been completed.

A bantamweight showdown between Mark Delarosa and Ivan Hernandez Flores has been tacked onto the marquee, as have four additional bouts to round out the nine-fight event. Rafa Garcia will collide with Raul Najera Ocampo in a featherweight skirmish and Kevin Garcia will oppose Enrique Barragan at bantamweight. A pair of welterweight scraps have been announced as well, as Heriberto Tovar will fight Christofer Ramirez while Alex Velasco and Julio Cesar Cruz will lock horns.

The headlining bout will see knockout artist Steve Swanson taking on Gustavo Lopez at 135 pounds. An atomweight showdown between Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc and Lisbeth Lopez Silva will serve as the co-feature. Other previously-announced battles include Jose Ceja against Joey Ruquet at bantamweight and Rodrigo Vargas will take on Marco Antonio Elpidio at lightweight.

Combate Americas Combate 10 will be held inside El Plaza Condesa in Mexico’s capital. UFC Fight Pass will stream the prelims live at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, followed by the main card at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on both UFC Fight Pass and Spanish-language television network Azteca America.
