Abraham Bably Is Ready to Start a New UK MMA Movement: ‘There’s Still a Lot of Talent’
Abraham Bably believes the major mixed martial arts promotions have barely tapped the pool of British MMA talent, and he's eager to show it.
Bably (2-0, 1-0 PFL) already showcased his own potential when he dominated Louie Sutherland en route to a unanimous decision under the Professional Fighters League banner last August. This year, “The One and Only” plans to secure a place in the upcoming 2023 PFL Regular Season by overcoming Hassan Graham in their scheduled heavyweight affair on Feb. 10. Ahead of his assignment on Week 3 of the PFL Challenger Series, Bably praised 2022 heavyweight titleholder Ante Delija for his accomplishment, underlying the infinite potential European and UK fighters have. In fact, he envisions big things for MMA in his home country, and aims to show its value to the world.
“The U.K. movement hasn't even started yet. It hasn't even started yet. I will be the first to start that. There's still a lot of talent in this country, on this land. There's still a lot of that, and the world hasn't seen that yet. We're making noise right now for sure.”
