Roundtable: UFC Fight Night 'Edgar Vs Faber'
The UFC at long lost touches down in the Philippines Saturday with a long-awaited super fight between two sub-155 super novas in Frankie Edgar and Urijah Faber, and the Sherdog Radio Network convened from The National Academy of Sports Medicine Studios with yet another "Roundtable" to put it all into proper context and handicap the outcome.
Host Jack Encarnacao was joined via the Kountermove Hotline by Jordan Breen, SiriusXM and Fox Sports' R.J. Clifford, and MMA Oddsbreaker's Brian Hemminger for a top-to-bottom assessment of the Saturday morning thrills in Manila, adding insight into Friday night's interesting Bellator MMA card as well.
The panel reaches a unanimous verdict on the UFC main event outcome, but reaches a series of deviating picks for much of the rest of the card, including the case for one +500 underdog. Who thinks Neil Magny can make is seven in a row? Which prospect on the bill is most promising? Who has the strongest game of the cast of Asian fighters who landed on the card?
All those questions answered and more, including the historical ramifications and relevance of main event that, should Faber lose, would mark his first unsuccessful bid in a non-title fight.
There's no better way to handicap the stakes and the outcomes of UFC Fight Night: Edgar v. Faber from Manila than with the latest SRN Roundtable, available for download here.
