Beatdown: Tyron Woodley

Live radio returned to The Sherdog Radio Network Monday as TJ De Santis and Jeff Sherwood were back for another edition of “Beatdown.” Joining them was UFC 156 welterweight winner Tyron Woodley.

It was a new promotion and a new nickname Saturday night for former Strikeforce welterweight title challenger Tyron Woodley. Living up to “The Chosen One” moniker, Woodley thumped Jay Hieron in just 36 seconds, stopping the Xtreme Couture product by knockout. Woodley joined De Santis and Sherwood to talk about his first time out inside the Octagon, what it was like making the move from Strikeforce, and where this win will put him inside the UFC’s ranks at 170 pounds.
