(PRESS RELEASE) -- London. - As revealed by the Mirror MMA earlier
today, BAMMA World Lightweight champion, Mansour
Barnaoui, has withdrawn from his BAMMA 16 title fight against
Michael
Brightmon due to a shoulder injury. It is hoped that the fight
can be rescheduled for BAMMA 17 on 6th December.
In other news, officials for the Flagship European Mixed Martial Arts promotion have confirmed the addition of a bonus fight for the preliminaries of "BAMMA 16: Daley vs. Da Rocha" with Andy De Vent facing Roggy Lawson at Middleweight. See below for further details.
Two further injuries have struck the Amateur preliminaries for
BAMMA 16, rendering IMMAF Medallist Daniel
Cassell and Lloyd Gellatly unable to compete in their bouts
against Igor Puskarkis and Alex Cossey
respectively.

Andy 'Lion Paw' De-Vent holds a 10-9-0 professional MMA record, scored against solid competition since 2010. De-Vent was on 4 fight winning streak, and undefeated at Middleweight (7-0-0) until he met Harry McLeman to lose at BAMMA 15 in a match for the BAMMA Lonsdale British Middleweight title. Originally coming from a Thai boxing background, De-Vent now trains at his own Lions Paw MMA in Manchester. 40% of De-Vent's wins have been attained by KO/ TKO and 40% via Submission. Known for his heavy hands and his refusal to back down, De Vent holds the Pro British Middleweight title for Made 4 the Cage.
Fighting out of Snake Team in Épinay-sur-Seine in France, Roggy Lawson debuts at BAMMA with a 7-1 record since 2013. The first 7 of his fights were under French Pankration rules. His most recent took place in Germany on 10th May to earn him the ISKA European MMA title at 84.6 kg, after he scored a TKO victory over Imad Ahmad. Lawson has previously scored the majority of his wins via Submission.
