WEC Signs Horodecki

The WEC announced Thursday on Twitter that it has signed former IFL
champion Chris
Horodecki.
The 22-year-old is expected to take on Anthony Njokuani in a lightweight affair at WEC 45, slated for Dec. 19 in Las Vegas.
Horodecki (13-1) had an impressive run in the now-defunct IFL, winning eight of nine fights. Known as “The Polish Hammer,” he will be making his WEC debut after fighting just one MMA bout in the 18 months since the IFL folded.
Njokuani, 29, has recovered from a disappointing loss to current WEC interim lightweight champion Benson Henderson in his promotional debut last January. The Dallas native, who now fights out of Las Vegas, defeated Bart Palaszewski and Muhsin Corbbrey in his last two bouts to run his record to 11-2.
