Bellator MMA has added Japanese mixed martial arts veteran Hideo Tokoro to its roster, Sherdog.com has learned from a source close to the negotiations.
A veteran of Dream, K-1 and many other promotions in Japan, the 36-year-old will compete in the bantamweight division. An official announcement is expected to come in the form of a press release from the organization on Tuesday.
Tokoro, who holds notable wins over Brad Pickett, Darren Uyenoyama and Royler Gracie, last saw action in a technical knockout loss to Victor Henry on July 13 in a Grandslam MMA event.
The Reversal Gym product holds a professional record of 32-27 (5 KO, 18 sub).
