Aaron Rosa will make the cut to light heavyweight for his first Octagon appearance at 205 pounds, as the Texan will square off with Brazilian Fabio Maldonado at UFC Live 6.
Headlined by a bantamweight title tilt pitting champion Dominick Cruz against AMC Pankration product Demetrious Johnson, UFC Live 6 goes down Oct. 1 from the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.

Rosa had won four consecutive bouts before making his Octagon debut at UFC 131, where he was knocked out by Joey Beltran in a back-and-forth brawl on June 11.
Prior to his appearance in the UFC, “Big Red” competed for both Strikeforce and the now-defunct EliteXC promotion. More recently, Rosa fought for Bellator, Shark Fights and Titan Fighting Championship, notching victories in all three promotions.
Maldonado, 31, recently had an 11-fight winning streak snapped when he was outpointed by Kyle Kingsbury at “The Ultimate Fighter 13” Finale on June 4.
The hard-fought loss served to even the Brazilian's Octagon record to 1-1, as he was victorious in his October UFC debut in London. Maldonado battered hometown favorite James McSweeney in that contest, knocking the Brit out early in the third round of their UFC 120 bout.
