Megan Anderson to Defend Featherweight Crown Against Helena Kolesnyk at Invicta FC 24
While she actively campaigned for a bout in the UFC against Cristiane Justino, it looks like Megan Anderson will defend her Invicta Fighting Championships featherweight crown in her next appearance.

Anderson claimed the interim 145-pound belt with a second-round TKO of Charmaine Tweet at Invicta FC 21 on Jan. 14. She was then promoted to undisputed champion when “Cyborg” vacated the belt to pursue a run in the UFC’s newly-formed women’s featherweight division. The 27-year-old Australian has won four straight under the Invicta FC banner, all by knockout or technical knockout.
Kolesnyk, 27, will enter her Invicta debut with a 5-0 record with one no contest. The Ukraine native has finished all five of her victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission.
"Megan has been on quite a roll over the last two years, establishing herself as a dominant featherweight and building a passionate fanbase here in Kansas City," Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp said in a release. "We're only looking to book competitive match-ups in this division, so being able to bring in an accomplished striker like Helena is very exciting."
