Matt Brown Announces Nov. 11 Bout vs. Diego Sanchez Will Be His Retirement Fight
Matt Brown will hang up his four-ounce gloves following his UFC Fight Night 120 bout against Diego Sanchez on Nov. 11.

“Thanks for enjoying the ride with me. This will be an amazing show,” Brown wrote. “Me and Diego will put on an amazing show.”
“The Immortal” has gone 13-10 in the Octagon since beginning his promotional tenure in 2008. He peaked during a seven-bout winning streak from February 2012 to May 2014 that included triumphs over Stephen Thompson, Mike Swick, Mike Pyle and Erick Silva. The Elevation Fight Team representative has lost five of his last six in the UFC, albeit against top-level competition such as Donald Cerrone, Demian Maia, Robbie Lawler, Johny Hendricks and Jake Ellenberger. Brown owns a 20-16 career mark overall, with 18 victories coming inside the distance.
UFC Fight Night 120 takes place at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Va., and is headlined by a lightweight duel pitting Anthony Pettis against Dustin Poirier. Brown vs. Sanchez will serve as the evening’s co-main event. The card will air on Fox Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
