Team Quest product Zac George will participate in Bellator Fighting Championships’ upcoming Season 4 featherweight tournament, the promotion announced Tuesday.
The “Red Devil” is the second fighter confirmed for the 145-pound field, joining collegiate wrestling champion Eric Larkin. George enters the tournament, which will be broadcast live on MTV2 beginning in March, riding a six-fight win streak.

A wrestler since age four, George began kickboxing while attending the University of Oklahoma. Since transitioning to MMA in 2004, the 27-year-old has amassed a record of 20-3, with 17 of those victories coming by way of knockout or submission.
“I’ve wanted to fight for Bellator for a while now,” said George. “It’s an exciting weight class and Bellator has a bunch of really talented fighters with records similar to mine. They’re hungry guys looking for their shot and they all want to go out there to beat some people up and make some money.”
Due to nagging injuries and a contractual dispute with the Shine Fights promotion, George has not competed since October 2009, when he notched a first-round submission win over current Bellator bantamweight Bryan Goldsby.
“It’s going to mean the world to me when I win this tournament,” George said. “There is no ‘if’ in my mind. I wouldn’t enter this thing if I didn't know that I was going to go out there and stomp on some guys.”
