The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned from Fight Island to its home turf at the APEX Center in Las Vegas with a middleweight showdown between Derek Brunson and Edmen Shahbazyan. As expected, there was a plethora of different styles of walkout music throughout UFC Fight Night 173, even with several fights falling off the card during the week.
Brunson was the last fighter of the evening to walk out to combat and he strolled to the Octagon underneath the powerful “Victory Lap” from the late Nipsey Hussle. Shahbazyan, one of the best rising stars in the sport, walked out to Kanye West’s “Use this Gospel.”
Other standout tracks of the night were AC/DC’s iconic “TNT” (Jennifer Maia); Rage Against the Machine’s awesome “Calm Like a Bomb” (Frankie Saenz); Post Malone’s “On the Road” (Lando Vannata) and Joanne Calderwood used Motley Crue’s “Kickstart My Heart.”
