Eric Spicely entered the TUF 23 house as the submission guru, but he eventually was taken out of the show’s tournament when Andrew Sanchez knocked him out. In his official UFC debut tonight, Spicely ran into veteran Sam Alvey and it didn’t end well.

After trading blows and being rocked on his feet, Spicely couldn’t secure a takedown and eventually was caught in a deep standing 10-finger guillotine. He couldn’t escape and was forced to tap out at 2:43 of the first.
