UFC 121 Analysis on SRN
Jack Encarnacao Oct 22, 2010
The Sherdog Radio Network is back in full effect, and just in time
for what looks to be the biggest cards in Ultimate Fighting
Championship history. The Roundtable returns to break down each and
every fight at UFC 121 tomorrow night in Anaheim, as I moderated a
discussion with Sherdog's Jeff Sherwood and Mike Whitman and Steve
Cofield of Yahoo! Sports.
We talk about if this card - on the back of the Brock Lesnar v. Cain Velasquez heavyweight headliner - has received more mainstream sports media pre-hype that any card in UFC history, how strength, speed and strategy factor in to the main event contest and what's at stake for the UFC from a business perspective. Plus thoughtful analysis on the ramifications of the rest of the card, with a higher level of disagreement than usual on who will take key fights, including the main event and Jake Shields v. Martin Kampmann co-headliner.
