Tim Boetsch: Chris Weidman Has Tools to Beat Anderson Silva, But Won’t
Tim
Boetsch, on “Beatdown,”
discussing the UFC
162 middleweight title fight between Anderson
Silva and Chris
Weidman:
“Honestly, I believe Anderson’s going to win it, but that being said, that’s just my opinion. Certainly, Chris is in control of his own destiny. I just believe that Anderson’s reign isn’t over yet. Chris is a tough fighter. He certainly has the tools to win the fight if everything comes together for him, but Anderson’s just so dangerous. I think his striking is on a whole other level. He just has that one-punch-stopping ability. I don’t know if [Weidman’s] ever been in the cage with a guy like that before. I think he’s going to be in for a rude awakening.”
