On Nov. 7, 2014, One Fighting Championship -- now One Championship -- was in Kallang, Singapore, for One FC 22 “Battle of Lions.”
In the main event, Igor Svirid beat Leandro Ataides by TKO just 17 seconds into the fight. With the win, Svirid won the vacant middleweight championship and improved to 10-1. He would go on to lose the belt in his next fight, which precipitated the 2-7 run which he is currently attempting to rectify. It was Ataides’ first loss as a pro, and he would go on after this fight to lose his next two fights, as well.
The card also featured Koji Ando TKO’ing Zorobabel Moreira in the third round and Luis Santos TKO’ing Bakhtiyar Abbasov in the first round.
Also, notable performances came from Martin Nguyen, who submitted Rocky Batolbatol, and Amir Khan, who knocked out Waqar Umar in the first round.
