ShoBox Weigh-in Results: Chris Pearson, Justin DeLoach on Weight
A collision of highly-touted super welterweight prospects will cap
off what is expected to be a solid night of boxing on Friday. Chris
Pearson will lock horns with Justin DeLoach in the main event of
the latest edition of Showtime’s popular contender series ShoBox:
The New Generation, which takes place at Pechanga Resort and Casino
in Temecula, Calif.
Pearson (14-1, 10 KOs) was supposed to meet DeLoach last September, but Pearson suffered an injury in training. The two are ready to pick up where they left off and both are excited about the opportunity to headline ShoBox. At Thursday’s official weigh-ins, both men came in point. Pearson tipped the scale at 152.8 pounds while DeLoach came in at 151.5.
The event will be rounded out by a clash of unbeaten cruiserweights in Andrew Tabiti (13-0, 11 KOs) and Quantis Graves (11-0-2, 4 KOs) and a showdown between Oscar Bravo (22-6, 10 KOs) and fellow lightweight Saul Rodriguez (20-0-1, 15 KOs). The action will go live on Showtime beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
