UFC on Fox 2 on Saturday at the United Center in Chicago serves up the latest opportunity for mixed martial arts fans to flash their knowledge in Sherdog MMA Pick’Em, the site’s groundbreaking MMA fantasy game. Registration is available through Sherdog.com and Facebook. The game made its debut on Jan. 7, with Strikeforce “Rockhold vs. Jardine,” and continued with UFC 142 “Aldo vs. Mendes” on Jan. 14 and UFC on FX 1 “Guillard vs. Miller” on Jan. 20.

A pivotal light heavyweight showdown between onetime champion Rashad Evans and unbeaten four-time NCAA All-American wrestler Phil Davis will headline UFC on Fox 2.

Evans (16-1-1) last appeared at UFC 133 in August, when he dispatched Tito Ortiz with a brutal second-round knee to the body. The 32-year-old Imperial Athletics representative will carry a three-fight winning streak into the bout and holds victories over four former UFC titleholders: Ortiz, Quinton Jackson, Forrest Griffin and Chuck Liddell. Davis has not competed since March, when he took a unanimous decision from Pride Fighting Championships veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in the UFC Fight Night 24 main event. Wins over former WEC light heavyweight champion Brian Stann and world-ranked Swede Alexander Gustafsson anchor the Alliance MMA standout’s unblemished resume.

Other main card matchups pit Team Quest’s Chael Sonnen against “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 3 winner Michael Bisping and 2007 Abu Dhabi Combat Club Submission Wrestling World Championships gold medalist Demian Maia against undefeated former Ring of Combat champion Chris Weidman.

Within Sherdog MMA Pick’Em, players will earn points based on correct match-by-match predictions for a given event. A maximum of 210 points can be picked up in a single match.

Players are awarded 50 points for each correct pick, along with 30 additional points if they choose the correct method: decision, knockout/technical knockout or submission. If the method involves a finish, 30 additional points will be awarded to players who choose the correct round in which the finish occurs. Players are also allowed five boosts per event through which they can notch an additional 100 points for outcomes about which they feel particularly certain. However, any incorrect selections involving boosts will cost the player 50 points.
