Ryan Jensen and Tim Kennedy Featured on The Sherdog Radio Network
Jack Encarnacao Jul 16, 2010
While it may be slow going in the mixed martial arts world at the
moment, there are no shortage of upcoming happenings to hash out,
as Lutfi Sariahmed and myself, Jack Encarnacao, found on today's
installment of "Beatdown" on the Sherdog Radio Network. Lutfi and I
look ahead to the stacked month of August and back on some of the
top stories of the first half of the year.
We're also joined by middleweights Ryan Jensen and Tim Kennedy to talk about their respective upcoming bouts, as Jensen welcomes Court McGee to the UFC main stage at UFC 121 in October and Kennedy challenges for the Strikeforce middleweight title on Aug. 21 against Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza.
Jensen discusses everything from cornering fellow Nebraskan and UFC tournament champion Steve Jennum against Tank Abbott in 1995 to why former training partner Chael Sonnen in going to hand Anderson Silva defeat at UFC 117. Kennedy discusses what belts mean to him (hint: little), his dapper white suit and the mechanics of his unique back-riding rear naked choke victory over Trevor Prangley. Plus, we ask the Army Ranger if it's ever appropriate time to pull guard on the battlefield.
All in a day's work on "Beatdown."
