Lytle on Hardy Fight: Someone Will Get Hurt

Chris
Lytle (Pictured), on “Beatdown,”
discussing his upcoming bout against Dan
Hardy:
“I felt bad for Dan after his last fight. I’ve been there. I’ve been in the position where my mindset was, ‘I just want to throw punches and fight.’ I think that’s where Dan was last time, and he didn’t get that fight. He got taken down a lot. Anthony [Johnson], he hadn’t fought in a long time and I think he was like, ‘I got to get this win.’ I’m not trying to think like that. Dan Hardy’s not trying to think like that either, I don’t think. You put the two of us together, somebody’s going to get hurt. We both want to knock each other out, and that’s the kind of fight I like. I always feel like, you put me in there with somebody like that, I’m going to open up and give you chances to hurt me, but guess what? You’re going to give me chances too. I think I’m going to come out on top in that battle. Couldn’t ask for a better fight.”
