possibility of someday training at the Imperial Athletics, a
Brazilian Top Team affiliate in Boca Raton, Fla. -- Imperial
Athletics owner Rob Canova remains one of Filho’s staunchest
supporters:
“First, I was very grateful and excited [to hear he wanted me to train there]. I don’t consider myself worthy of the admiration [Canova] has shown me, but I’m very grateful. Surely, if I have to go train with a team abroad, his team will be first on the list, either to be a coach or to train like an athlete. He has earned my trust and has a great team, with [Antonio] ‘Bigfoot’ [Silva], Rashad [Evans] and others. In addition, he sent me messages of love that made me think about reviewing some concepts in my life. We have to know how we can be important and help people in need.”
