Four Decorated Amateurs to Make Pro Debuts on PBC on FS1 Card on April
Premier Boxing Champions announced Wednesday afternoon that a host
of newly-signed Ringstar Sports fighters will be on display when
they make their professional boxing debuts on Sunday, April 9, in a
special PBC on FS1 telecast.
The decorated amateurs will all fight in separate four-round affairs. Included on the card is 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Misael Rodriguez, who will fight at middleweight; Money Powell IV, who will compete at super welterweight; 2016 Lithuanian Olympian Eimantas Stanionis at welterweight; and 2016 Mexican Olympian Lindolfo Delgado, who comes in at lightweight.
Rounding out the PBC on FS1 card will be Maricela Cornejo (6-2, 2 KOs) at super middleweight, Roberto Marroquin (25-4-1, 18 KOs) in a super featherweight bout and Alejandro Guerrero (2-0, 1 KO), all with opponents yet to be determined.
Broadcast coverage from The Novo at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles will begin on the sports network at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT, with a lightweight battle between Alejandro Luna (21-0, 15 KOs) and Andrey Klimov (19-3, 9 KOs) kicking things off. The pro debut of 2016 Olympian Karlos Balderas will also be televised. Headlining the card will be see former world title challenger Josesito Lopez (34-7, 19 KOs) taking on Saul Corral (22-8, 13 KOs) in a 10-round welterweight bout.
