Fedor-Werdum Analysis on The SRN
Jack Encarnacao Jun 25, 2010
When Scott Coker recently referred to bringing Fedor
Emelianenko to his San Jose backyard as being like bringing in
Babe Ruth, the analogy may have been more fitting than he
realized.
On today's Sherdog Radio Network Roundtable discussion of tomorrow night's "Strikeforce/M-1 Global: Fedor v. Werdum" event, the panel discusses if Emelianenko is destined to be viewed as the absolute best, or the subject of endless speculation about how competitive he'd be in the modern era. Emelianenko's legacy, how resonant it is with the general public, and how his fight against Werdum factors in was tackled by myself, fellow Sherdoggers Jordan Breen and Mike Sloan, and ESPN Radio host and Yahoo! Sports MMA blogger Steve Cofield.
The Roundtable also looks at Jan Finney's chances against Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos, if Scott Smith can muster another comeback and what Josh Thomson has to gain in his fight with Pat Healy.
