Brent Brookhouse Joins Press Row

Every Wednesday, Administrative Editor Jordan Breen welcomes a member of the mixed martial arts media into “Press Row” on the Sherdog.com blog. This week, Breen is joined by BloodyElbow.com managing editor Brent Brookhouse.

On Tuesday in San Jose, Calif., the much-whispered about class-action antitrust lawsuit against the UFC was announced. Breen and Brookhouse break down the announcement, how long the lawsuit has been in the works and why its chief plaintiffs felt like now was the time to act. The two look at the fighters involved, who else and how many could join the suit, whether a settlement would ever be feasible and whether or not it will be legally successful.

Breen and Brookhouse also discuss the finer points of the suit, including the UFC payscale, ideas about revenue sharing, likeness rights and why Dana White's reduced visibility in the UFC universe is hardly an accident.
